Association Objectives
The main purposes for which the Association was formed is to provide an opportunity for the Maltese community in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne to meet at social functions and gatherings as well as on specially organised trips and outings.
Association History
The association was formed in 1976 through the initiative of Emmanuel Debattista, Lewis Debono, Joe Saliba, George Bugeja, Joe Abela, Stan Cauchi, Jane Debattista, and Rita Saliba. It was originally known as the ‘Hadfield Maltese Association’. The original aim was to retain the services of the Maltese Sisters as teachers in Hadfield.
