Sunday 25 August 2019 saw the MCCV premises at 477 Royal Parade in Parkville turn into a market place.
People began flooding in at 10 am and it was non stop until the doors closed at 2 pm.
4 generations of Maltese Australians came along to shop, eat, meet old friends and make new ones.
Many people enjoyed looking at the historical photos of their ancestors who were the first of their family to arrive in Australia. Others enjoyed looking at the Maltese artifacts on display.
Children participated in a range of activities in our library cared for and taught by Mr and Mrs Bonnici.
We could not keep up with the demand for cooked Pastizzi as they were literally flying out the door.
For many who came it was either their first visit ever, or since they were children.
Thank you to all our stall holders who really had a wonderful array of goods to sell, ranging from Maltese craft, graphic photos, jewellery, books, Maltese sweets, other delicacies and loads of party goods and lollies.
Stay tuned for our next market day.
Let us all keep the Maltese spirit and culture alive join us at our next event.
