The night before the Latrobe Valley Festa members of the MCCV Executive and their partners attending the official opening of the Maltese Museum. It was attended by all but 1 local Councillor, State Politicians, our very own Maltese Consul General of Victoria, local community members, volunteers and people from across Victoria. The Maltese Museum is a credit to those that have established it and the MCCV highly recommends a visit to Morwell to see it.
The following morning members of the MCCV attended the Latrobe Valley Festa. It was an extremely well organised and attended festa. The MCCV had a stall giving away showbags of information relating to Maltese lessons, our elderly planned activity programs, our memory lane program for people living at home with Dementia and a range of activities offered by the MCCV and some of our associations.
The MCCV also sold a range of books on important Maltese people in Australia and Maltese migration.
Edwidge Borg ran a stall with lots of Maltese activities designed for children to promote the learning of Maltese and books and a CD to learn Maltese.
Congratulations to the Latrobe Valley Maltese Community Council on putting on what will no doubt be another award winning festa.
