MCCV President, Prof. Maurice Cauchi, recently met with Professor Helen Borland from Victoria University (VU) who will be seeking a grant for VU to carry out a study on the prevalence of diabetes within the Maltese community. VU have already conducted similar studies for other communities, including the Greek, Turkish and Filipino. The outcome of the study will provide important information to the authorities for the provision of services to the Maltese community.
An initial survey of the Maltese community will need to be conducted to provide information in support of the request for the study grant. Survey forms are available from the Maltese Centre. To download a copy of the survey form click here.
