Classes are open to both adults and adult-accompanied children.
Language Classes
Registration for Maltese Language Classes is required. The Maltese Language classes are sponsored by the MCCV at the Maltese Community Centre. Students pay a nominal enrolment fee. Families pay a substantially discounted fee.
Classes are provided at: Beginner and Continuers levels.
Classes are held interactively online via ZOOM.
The MCCV Education Committee overseeing the classes is composed of qualified LOTE tutors, class coordinator as well as an independent adviser.
MCCV – Online ADULT Maltese Language Classes 2024
Semester 1
Courses are intended to provide participants with a basic knowledge of reading, writing and speaking Maltese. Courses run for one semester.
Lessons coincide with school terms. A token fee of $120 per semester for 14 lessons covers some administrative expenses. The tutor will advise students of other resources that are appropriate. The classes run for one hour extended by 30 minutes for student queries. Students receive guided self-learning activities equivalent to 1 hour. The total Unit context hours are 2.5 hours per week.

MCCV – Online CHILDREN Maltese Language Classes 2024
Semester 1
Embark your children on a language adventure! Enroll your children in fun-filled online Maltese classes to discover the magic of words together with other children, making learning an enjoyable experience.
Online Maltese Language Lessons coincide mainly with school terms. A token fee of $120 per semester per family for 12 lessons covers some administrative expenses. Lessons are designed to introduce and consolidate children in various topics of the Maltese language and culture. Classes are suitable for school aged children from Grade Prep to Year 10. Depending on their age and ability they will learn how to speak, read and write accordingly.
